About the Opportunity
Arrow Energy is seeking a Procurement and Contracts Officer to join its team, working from the company's corporate head office in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Supply Manager, the primary function of this role is to manage the procurement of goods and services centrally, for Arrow Energy, and material management in coordination and cooperation with Arrow site operations.
Key duties of the role will include (but are not limited to):
- Liaising with Arrow Personnel to identify short and long term materials needs;
- Supporting and developing sourcing strategies for company material acquisitions;
- Managing the competitive quotation / tendering process for Arrow centrally;
- Raising and issuing Purchase Orders and Corporate Supply Agreements;
- Expediting and tracking of Purchase orders, as required;
- Supporting execution and management of agreements, supplier development and performance management;
- Contract Administration and Management;
- Supplier negotiations and cost reduction;
- Supplier Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements in Gas Energy operations;
- Management of inventory with site personnel to ensure efficient provision of stock while minimising working capital;
- Working with the Finance Department on invoicing processing and reports for the Brisbane Office management teams;
- Identifying and investigating procurement process improvement opportunities;
- Maintaining supplier database and working with Arrow personnel to identify and foster new business opportunities with suppliers; and
- Taking a Quality first process and attitude to the role, and working closely with the OH&S and Environment teams.
This position will require the applicant to have a Certificate IV/Diploma in Purchasing and Materials Management and have intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite. Preferably you will have 5 years experience in a similar role, with a good working knowledge of MRP II programs and familiarity with Hazchem management practices and software.
You will have a thorough understanding and knowledge of Supply Management, contracts management and inventory control, with proven experience in negotiating procurement contracts and a willingness to use a hands-on approach. You will have membership with CIPS or LAA.
Working both autonomously and as part of a team, you will possess very good communication skills and have the ability to balance priorities in a demanding and challenging work environment.
You will have a willingness to travel to site operations in Bowen and Surat Basins and a willingness to take on an expanding skill set as the role changes and Arrow operations mature.
