About the Opportunity

Arrow Energy is seeking a Construction Supervisor to join its team, working with the team in Moranbah.

 

The primary purpose of this role is to supervise the group's surface facilities developments and expansion activities. Within the first 12 months of this position, you will be expected to be able to manage the quality of construction work within time and budget constraints, develop initiatives to reduce project costs, as well as establish procedures and processes for effective, efficient construction management.

 

Key duties of the role will include (but are not limited to):

• Monitoring, controlling and reporting on activity of Construction Contractors and subcontractors;
• Planning construction activities within the Projects department, including involvement in the preparation of construction and safety management plans;
• Ensuring construction activities comply with contract specifications, drawings, project management plans, stakeholder management plans and relevant legislation;
• Complying with all Arrow HSEC policies and ensuring compliance by reports and contractors;
• Focusing on effective stakeholder management, such as managing landowner issues and coordination with Arrow departments;
• Through supervised employees and contractors, achieving targets set and agreed with Leader and/or Project Team Leader;
• Contributing to the process of change, innovation and continuous improvement in the Projects team;
• Maintaining close and effective working relationships with peers to maximise the value of activities for the Company;
• Being on call to attend to out-of-hours enquiries and emergency response; and
• Taking responsibility for the construction of facilities.
  

 

Arrow is seeking an applicant with 10 years' experience in construction, and five years' experience as a supervisor. You will possess knowledge of design/construction methods and standards for civil and/or mechanical construction projects, including complex processing facilities and underground pipelines.

 

The successful applicant will be familiar with, and competent in, applying Australian Standards and Codes, as well as understanding and effectively articulating Company Standards and performance expectations to contractors/work-site employees. You will have the ability to understand and manage change effectively, as well as possessing excellent written communication skills.

 

Candidates for this role will need to have a flexible approach to work, be able to work both independently and as a member of a team, plus have a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
