About the Opportunity
Arrow Energy is seeking a Operations Engineering Superintendent to work with their team in Moranbah.
Reporting to the Production Manager (North), the main aim of this position is to provide technical leadership for the operations of Arrow's assets in the Northern Area.
In this position, you will be the Production team's lead technical representative and ensure the application of good engineering practice in the areas of commissioning and integration of new assets, as well as asset integrity, reliability and production operations management, and HSE performance and profitability.
A key responsibility of this role is being the primary change leader for business improvement within the Production (North) team.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining asset integrity and reliability as well as conducting technical reviews, audits, investigations and studies;
- Providing ongoing technical support, that will deliver or exceed the business's revenue (gas sales) targets;
- Ensuring the business's operating cost per GJ of gas produced is within budget;
- Ensuring the business complies with all relevant technical standards and legislation;
- Leading a small team of engineering professionals; and
- Leadership of business improvement initiatives within the Asset (North) team.
To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Engineering or similar coupled with at least ten years experience in an operational management and/or independent engineering role in the CSG, oil and gas or similar industry. Applicants with relevant trade qualifications will be held in high regard.
The successful candidate will be professionally presented with a background in leadership and supervisory roles and highly developed work planning skills. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail. You will display outstanding interpersonal / communication skills, as well as intermediate computer skills. In addition, you will display a high level of professionalism in dealing with other staff members both on and off the job.
